The company’s business concept is to manage the entire value chain as an integrated wind power company, from product development to selling green electricity produced by its own land-based wind turbines. Arise Windpower's goal is to produce around 2 TWh of environmentally-friendly electricity per year by 2014, equivalent to Sweden’s total domestic wind power expansion at year-end 2008.

High-quality product portfolio

The project porfolio contains more than 900 MW concentrated in strong wind positions in southern Sweden. Good wind positions are a prerequisite for high returns and low project risk. Setting up wind farms is particularly favourable in southern Sweden. Problems caused by ice and snow are minimal, the electricity grid is robust, and power feed-in fees are comparatively low as are transport costs for wind turbines and input goods such as cement, steel and road material.

Industrial approach and large-scale expansion

Arise Windpower has its own electricity grid company and crane, reducing investment costs such as those associated with transmission of produced electricity. Our self-developed foundation design increases quality and useful lifespan while reducing costs. Effective project management reduces implementation time as well as the risk of cost overruns. The company’s industrial approach promotes increased return on investments and reduces sensitivity to fluctuations in wind or electricity prices.
